Bryan buried him in the sand and Lincoln was liking it
Playing in the ocean with Daddy at Ocean City, MD
Lincoln at the Washington D.C. Zoo
Lincoln riding in the rental car on the way to MD
Time finally came to get the rental car and hit the road for our trip to Maryland. Bryan took sunday off and went to get the rental car. Avis was a hassle! We almost didn't get the rental and then 5 minutes before they closed we had what we needed and got it. Bryan came home with the car, we loaded up and were off! Lincoln was such a good boy. He played with his toys and looked at his Miss Spider book a lot and chatted away. He fussed a few times but we stopped and gave him a new diaper and bought him some milk and he was good again. The trip was only supposed to take us 6 1/2 hours but there were merging sections all over PA so that ended up adding 2 hours onto our trip there. We got there about 9pm and we checked in to the hotel, brought our stuff in, and then went down the road met with our friends for a half hour or so then back to hotel for bed. We woke up the next morning and were headed to Washington DC to the zoo there. It was another hour or so in the car to get there. It was a huge zoo but it was cool. We got done with that and went back to the room and changed and went out to eat and had some crabs. My friends little boy wasnt feeling well so we cut the night short and just went back to our room and relaxed cause the next day was going to be a 2 hour trip to Ocean city. My friend Stephanie and I walked the boardwalk there with the kids while her significant other and Bryan went fishing in the ocean for flounder or whatever. We met up with the boys and they caught us some starfish and then we all headed to the beach. Lincoln loved the sand and loved the waves. He kept trying to run into the big waves. He was pooped out that night so we just got pizza and hung out at our friends place. Then we woke up ate some food went and said good bye and headed back to NY. It was a short trip but we had fun and it was nice finally meeting them. We are going to go back next year for longer and just stay in Ocean city all together so we can go to the beach easier with the kids. Can't wait for them to come here and visit in the fall.

Maryland/DC vacation

Lincoln turned 1 on the 22nd. He spent his actual birthday in the rental car coming home from our mini vacation. He had his birthday party on Saturday. We had a Dr. Suess Green Eggs and Ham theme. A lot of kids came and he had fun playing. The weather was nice. The honey bee's we have living in the front of our house decided that they were going to swarm twice that day. They did once in the morning while i was decorating for the party on a branch as long as my arm so I thought we'd be ok after they left.NOPE in the middle of the party all over the side of my house some more decided to make a clump so that cleared some people out and the rest of us had to shove inside our small house till the bee's decided they were done scarring people away. The exterminator is finally getting a call. They are going to have to tear the front of our house off but its worth it for them to be gone hopefully for good. Lincoln got a lot of cool toys and I managed not to cry that my baby is now 1!!! The party was crazy and I was happy when it was done then i realized I have many more to come lol. I can't believe he is 1 already.

Almost vacation/birthday time!!
We went and did our grocery shopping for our trip today. We leave sunday after Bryan gets done with work and then we are off to Baltimore! Then we come back on Wednesday which is Lincoln's birthday and then its his party on Saturday! I cant believe he is already almost 1 year old. Its exciting but I know I will certainly cry!! My baby who I used to be able to just sit in a chair and rock with is currently sitting beside me in his room tearing out all the blankets in his basket and laughing like a crazy man! The last 2 days instead of sitting down and crawling to get something he is really trying to walk to it. Today he started toward Bryan and he got about 5 steps and squat down like he was going to sit but he stood right back up, regained his balance and got about 4 more steps in. I was so proud of him. He has learned this week alone to say Nana for Bryan's mom he learned up, FINALLY mom/mama and he asked for more pizza today he said ore lol. He is just the best and I do look forward to the changes coming but will for sure miss the new baby stage but im not done yet so i will have that again. We are just ready to go to Ocean City and to the Washington Zoo and to meet our buddies and just have a nice little trip. Im hoping it will be warmer than the 60 degree day we had here today!

We got a nicer camera not too long ago and so the other day it was nice out and I was bored so I decided to take Lincoln out and about on our land and try and get some nice shots. These are only a few that I took. I was happy with a lot of them.

just stuff
Well Lincoln turned 11 months on the 22nd and now its downhill to the big 1!! Its exciting but so depressing at the same time. Bryan say's he like's it because he will start learning more things and talking and things now and while I like that too I still feel like it went by way to fast! Must be a mom feeling lol. Lincoln has been having some number 2 issues bad so today is the watching day and if its not better then we have to take him to the doc's but he didnt wake up with a poop in his diaper like he has been so im hoping the pedialite helped to perk him up. It was super nice outside yesterday so I changed his clothes a bunch and took him out in about in our land to get some pictures. We were going to take him last night to Bryan's mom's farm to get some different shots but he was kinda out of it (think he was getting dehydrated) so we just took him home and forced him to drink. We are getting excited because on July 19th we are going to drive to Maryland and visit one of my friends Stephanie who I became friends with on a pregnancy board on here and she had her son a week earlier than me but we had the same due date. So Bryan, Lincoln and I are driving down to meet her and her son Austin and her boyfriend Matt and we are going to go to the washington zoo and to ocean city and bryan and her boyfriend are going to go crabbing so we are super excited to go. Lincoln hasn't had to ride in the car longer than a trip to Albany yet so im hoping a 6 hour trip tops wont turn into an 8 hour trip. We are leaving as soon as my hubby gets done with work so hopefully it will be quick and easy to get there.

Time is flying by!
In 4 days Lincoln will turn 11 months. I cant believe it sometimes, it literally seems like just yesterday he was this tiny little guy and now he is a destroying giggling get into anything he possibly can little man. He went yesterday for his monthly helmet appointment and the doc said to come back in 4 weeks and he probably can get it off!!!! I was extremely excited because I just miss being able to rub his little head and smooch him and snuggle without getting hit with this hard helmet. I am glad we did it though because his head shape has improved so much. It is a nice crash helmet right now with him trying to walk and climb but he will learn to be that it actually hurts to run into stuff after a while lol. This weekend is Bryan's birthday (on Fathers day) so his sister and her husband and there 3 week old baby Isabelle are coming for the day to visit. She gives me my baby fix til we have another one of our own. We are planning Lincoln's party and our trip to Maryland both at the same time so it has been kinda crazy around here. Going to Maryland will be fun but getting there will be interesting because we are renting a car and driving there and Lincoln hasn't rode in the car over a 2 hour trip before so we shall see how it goes. We are going to visit my friend Stephanie and her son Austin who is only 2 weeks older than Lincoln and are going to go to the DC zoo and then go to Ocean city and Bryan and her other half Matt are going to go crabbing before we go to the zoo so we are both really looking forward to our trip!

Lincoln is now 9 months old. He is starting to get into everything within his reach...my closet, shoes, cords. Any little piece of fuzz or wrapper on the floor he finds and wants so he has been keeping us busy that's for sure. On Easter he started letting go of things and standing on his own and he has take 2 steps, then he sits down. He wasn't crawling just rolling but on Easter when he started standing on his own I caught him crawling too so who knows how long he has known how to crawl. He has had his helmet on for a month now and the doc said there has already been a big change and is working faster than they thought it would so we are really hoping he will be able to get it off by july instead of September. He has started saying dada and if you eat near him at all he makes you share with him by grunting and staring at you til you give in now its adorable. We are getting ready for warm weather and are going to be taking a road trip in the middle of July to Maryland to visit my friend and her son who is a 2 weeks younger than Lincoln so we are excited for that. Bryan's sister is due to have a baby within these next 2 weeks so we will be going to Albany to visit her and meet our new niece or nephew.

It's spring time!!
Lincoln loves this car!! When I push him in the driveway he makes noises so when he hits the bumps it chops up whatever he is saying and he LOVES honking the silly horn!
Bryan wanted to go fishing so Lincoln and I went along. He was checking everything out and having himself a good time in his pack.
Lincoln with Bryan's mom enjoying the nice day at her farm.
I set him in the grass and he kept pulling it out and looking at it.
We went out and bought him this swing and he enjoys it but it seems to tire him out which isn't a bad thing at his age

Lincoln goes to get casted for his Helmet
Bryan and I took Lincoln last week out to Syracuse for all his appointments. The follow up with the Nuero-Developmental doctor came out great. She said he is right where he should be for 7 months but just to cross all the T's and dot all the I's she wants him to go back out there and see an eye doc and she wants the Pediatrician to check his hearing again at his next appointment. The next day he had 2 appointments, the first with the Spinal Surgeon who said his spine and everything is fine, he was just laying weird in the previous x-rays so that was GREAT news. The 2nd appointment was for the casting of his helmet to help reshape his head. The doctor was wonderful and Lincoln did not like the process at all. We have to pick the helmet up on April first and then go back a week later for a check up then every 3 weeks till he gets it off in September. We haven't quite figure out how we are going to arrange a once a month appointment all the way in Syracuse or to his watertown office but we are working on it.

almost 7 months old
Well life has been busy for us. Bryan has his new job at the jail and was working 3pm-11pm but now he is on 7am-3pm till he goes to the academy in April so it works out much better cause he is here for bath time and all that and when he wasnt Lincoln noticed. Lincoln went to a neuro-development doc who said he was fine but he referred us to an Ear Nose and Throat doc for Lincolns head shape cause he has some positional plagiocephaly and they took spinal xrays and called and said they were abnormal so now March 11th he has to go to a spinal surgeon to find out whats wrong and then a few hours after that appt he will go get cast for his helmet. He has a shortened neck muscle (torticollis) and he was supposed to be getting Physical Therapy for that but she said she didnt want to start that til they find out what the spine issue is so we have to wait till March 11th. He will actually pick up his helmet on April first...what a way to spend my birthday.

6 months old today
Well Lincoln turned 6 months old today I can't believe it! I am happy he is healthy and growing and all that but it's like where is time going? He is getting big so fast! He is starting to try and roll over he gets onto his side and then he laughs and lays there and then back to his back but he is getting there slowly but surely! He is starting to mumble now and he is saying his mmmm's and when he is whining cause he doesnt want to go to sleep and fighting it he will say ma ma and today he just started with the P sound so he is sayin pa pa pa but no da da poor Bryan lol. He has been runnin a fever with this crappy teething so he has been wanting me to hold him or he wimpers which is frustrating when your tryin to get stuff done. Bryan's working his new job now at the jail and he just started on the 3pm-11pm shift so I have taken over Bath duty and now we get in the bed together and then Bry puts him in his crib when he comes home so its kinda nice to cuddle. Time sure does fly!

Teething bites
Lincoln got one tooth on Christmas Day and the one next to it was workin its way into his mouth but hadn't broke through. Well now it has joined its friend and he is teething badly in the back right of his mouth. Teething likes to wake him up just about ever hour and a half at night now and likes to give me a run for my money with the dirty diapers. He has a bib on unless he is sleeping cause if not it looks like he went swimming cause of the drool and he is a little bit whiny which he never is so thats taking some getting used to! He is at a great age I love it but teething....is driving me nuts and he has a whole mouth left to go lol

Lincoln finally has his specialist appointment
Linc finally went yesterday to the nueromuscular doctor in syracuse. They said he is fine and right where he should be for 5 months. They want him to come back in 2 months cause they said he has slightly increased muscle tone and I mean being to strong sounds like a good thing but he said that the fact he is so strong means that some of his other muscles are getting as strong as the muscles they team with so he might need some physical therapy. They also referred us to another doctor for his head shape and they said he will be able to tell us more about what he needs to fix the shape weather it be a helmet or whatever. On a scale to 1-10 they said its a 4 so its not sooo bad but I have to call this doctor today. So we are both excited to know that he doesnt have autism or anything like our doctors here were kinda getting at and this specialist said they cant even tell this early so we have switched to a real ped. for linc instead of our family practice doc.
